I'm the founder of TheNederland. I have many aspirations in life, perhaps more than one can accomplish—but that's not stopping me from trying. I'm an aspiring author, entrepreneur, and singer & songwriter. I used to be an Instagram influencer, which is how I founded TheNederland. Now I'm a marketer, applying everything I learn to my website and social media.
I have lived in the Netherlands for nearly 4 years now. I live here with my twin boys on the outskirts of Amsterdam. I work as a copywriter during the day, and by night I dedicate my time to putting my imagination and experiences in literal form. I have a bag-load of experiences from Groningen to Heerlen to share, and even new ones to come. On the whole though, I do really enjoy living in the Netherlands and writing is the best way I can convey the adventure.
I am Pranjal, 20, from India, and I am currently studying Civil Engineering at an international university here. I love meeting people from diverse backgrounds, learning about different cultures and languages, and most of all, I love reading and writing. I speak Hindi and English fluently and am currently learning Spanish as a beginner. Football and running are sports I really enjoy, with the Dutch team in the 2010 World Cup being my introduction to the Oranje nation. Music and cinema both are a big part of my who I am as a person and have shaped my worldview massively. I believe writing for The Netherlands.com is a great opportunity for me to grow as a writer and a global citizen.
I've been in a wheelchair for four years, before that, sick for a long time and didn't get out much. Now, my health is almost restored, and I ride my bicycle all over the Netherlands. I film my bike rides on my GoPro, and share them on Facebook, and in our Facebook group. I also bought a drone, and fly it all over the place, filming anything worth capturing.
I am Jucyara, I studied Anthropology and I am highly interested in all kinds of culture and places. I live in the North of Spain and I enjoy learning languages. I speak Spanish, Portuguese and English, and for it I soak up to the lifestyle of the country and everything related to the language that I am learning. Now I am studying Dutch because I love the language, the country and the people, and also I have some roots there. Being part of The Netherlands' team is an excellent opportunity to learn and exchange knowledge and experience with other people. I hope you enjoy that as much as I am.
I am Annice and I am 18 years old, currently living in the U.K. I share Turkish, Cypriot, and English heritage. I am a keen writer with multiple blogs, and my own self-published book which has been one of my favourite projects so far. I love to write about a variety of subjects, the most recent being my travel blog, fit with its own website and social media page where I make all the content and designs—another one of my passions! I love anything creative and spend my free time working on my travel plans and learning my latest language—Dutch! I was first drawn to the Netherlands due to my long-term partner and it has been so exciting exploring the culture and history of such a beautiful country! Therefore, I jumped at the opportunity to work with The Netherlands team as it combines my love of writing and travel! I believe writing for The Netherlands.com is a great opportunity for me to grow as a writer and a global citizen.
I'm a semi-retired university lecturer, 59 years old, and I've been living in Noord Brabant since Dec 1988. I have been fascinated and 'in love' with The Netherlands since childhood and have never regretted emigrating to this country. I taught English, Business Communications, and Project Management, but now that I'm retired, I have more time to pursue my hobbies of genealogy, photography, travelling (except for COVID), reading, writing, mindful colouring, and New Age music. Married to my dear husband Adrian, and now have one son and two grandchildren.
I'm Susan Voth (and this is my dog Baily), and I'm a retired pharmacist. I live in the northwest corner of the continental US in Washington state. I'm happily married, have three daughters, two grandchildren, and two on the way. I moderate several travel groups on Facebook, which I really enjoy; one of them being The Netherlands Facebook group.
Hi, my name is Ojochogwu Enape and I live in the city of love. I moved to Paris four years ago and I have loved every second of it. I am a lawyer and a researcher. My interests include the European Union and International Law and Politics. I love collecting books, reading novels, writing, traveling, and trying out different pastry recipes. I am also a powerful Hokage in the Beyhive. I jumped at the chance to join TheNederland because not only will I improve my writing but I also love to learn about travel, food, and culture in the Netherlands.
I am Sarit, born in Israel but I left with my parents and sister to live in South Africa when I was nine years old. In South Africa I learned to speak both English and Afrikaans. I lived there for 14 years and after getting my degree in education and English, I returned to live in Israel where I have been for the past 25 years. Two years ago, me, my husband and two sons went to the Netherlands for an eight day vacation. That was when I fell in love with the country and culture. While we were there, I realized I understand a lot of Dutch words, and that's thanks to Afrikaans, which is similar to Dutch. I became a moderator of 'The Netherlands' group on Facebook, and really enjoy this group, I share my photos of the Netherlands in the group also. I love chatting and sharing ideas and knowledge with the members in the group.

I am a very ambitious 27 year old Dutch girl. I was born in the Netherlands, moved to Spain when I was young and then moved back to the Netherlands when I was 13. Within these two countries I have moved around a lot. So much so that I attended to 3 primary schools and 3 high schools in total! This made me to be a person that isn’t afraid to step out of her comfort zone and who loves to make new friends. My parents and brother have moved back to Spain but I couldn’t leave Amsterdam as I feel more at home here than anywhere I’ve lived before. So, yes, I still live in Amsterdam. I work full-time as a high school English teacher I absolutely love this job and try my best to be a good teacher, listener, coach, and inspiration for my students. At the moment I’m on maternity leave as I became the mommy of Celia on August 2nd 2020. Life as a mommy exceeds all my expectations. I don’t think I have experienced happiness the way I do today!
After many years of living on the edge of being a 24/7 news, magazine, and T.V reporter in Israel I decided to go on an adventure around the globe. The trip took longer than I thought as I followed my passion and kept my journalistic experience and content writing globally. After graduating from my research media M.A at the University of Amsterdam I fell in love with the Dutch culture and people and decided to make it my home for me and my son Tommy.
I thrive on discovering new things; hidden places, unfamiliar tastes, crazy parties, hardcore music, mysterious art, and interesting Dutch intercultural revelations.
